Pioneers wanted. The first 1,000 adventurers to keep a character and play for half an hour are numbered by their name, for good.
The world
Pixlaria Town sits in the middle of a vast world: a square with market stalls and bunting, a long pier out over the lake, and roads to woods, hamlets and snowy peaks. Beyond the heartland the land is made the first time anyone walks or rows there.
A hand-made heartland in the middle, and new land, forests, seas and islands the further you go.
A twenty-minute day with a golden hour, a blue dusk, a short night of lanterns and fireflies, and a pink dawn.
One shared world: wave, cheer and dance with other players, and keep a friends list to find them again.
Skills
Fourteen skills, each growing through practice up to level 99, with none locked to a calling. Open Skills to see what you can do now, your next milestone and ways to earn from your work. Grow a garden on your plot: leave flowers blooming, harvest food and unlock new plants through Gardening. A tree shudders and sheds leaves at every stroke; the anvil throws sparks at every blow.
Catch shrimp with your starter net. At Fishing 40, take a sea rod out by boat and follow the gulls to deep-sea shoals.
Higher skills open resources, recipes and spells, or improve the work you already do. Later Carpentry milestones yield more material from the same logs.
Sell spare logs, catches and crafted goods to shops. Skills suggests useful equipment for your combat level and shows the prices to aim for.
Carpentry
Gather wood, saw it into planks and blocks, and put up a house of your own out in the wide world past the heartland, on land you claim with a stake. Signposted settlers' roads lead from town over long plank bridges to the Settlers' Meadows, level grass ringed with trees and a green with a sawbench, a bank chest and a campfire, with safe roads leading there. Houses are made from the same kit as the villages, so what you build looks like it belongs.
Start with ordinary trees and an axe. Oaks, willows and maples open as Woodcutting grows.
At the sawbench by the smithy, or one you build yourself.
Lay a plank floor, then stand walls, windows and a door on it.
Close the floor in and a roof grows over it by itself.
The paint shop sells eight pots, the game's own palette. Paint walls piece by piece, or bring a ladder and use one pot to colour the whole roof.
Stools, tables, torches, chests that open your bank, and beds to rest in. Fences with garden gates, flower beds and lantern posts. At Carpentry 6, build a waystone. At Magic 14, say runa to return to it when you are out of combat; the spell has a three-minute cooldown.
Adventure
Danger grows with the distance from town: hoglets in the meadows, then beetles, wolves and cheeky goblin whelps, goblins round their camps, skeletons and trolls, cyclopes for real explorers. Across the water the goblins grow into brutes, led by old elders who cast. Caves go down into the dark, and three dragons sleep in lairs far away.
“There are dragons in the dungeons! I have seen them! Be careful!”
Say them in chat, or press their key. Each school has a look of its own.
Click a monster to attack; right-click for more options. Your character keeps fighting until you stop; press Escape to disengage. Only one monster fights you at a time while the others wait their turn. On death, you return to the temple. Your backpack stays where you fell for 30 minutes, for you alone to recover, even across server updates. Use Recover backpack for directions and look for its gold marker. You lose up to 10% of character experience, but keep your levels, skills, starter tools and worn gear.
Town is a protection zone: a safe place to trade, bank and talk.
Pictures
Recorded in the current playable alpha. Films and most pictures refreshed on 20 September 2026; the deep-sea picture is from 19 September. Scenes are staged in the real game, with the interface hidden in films; building is shown at three times speed.
Beyond the familiar roads
The Mosslight Ways link three cave openings east and southeast beyond the home island. Follow the lamps to find another way out, or descend into optional chambers with stronger creatures and valuable ore.
Farther afield, rare Briar stags shelter in damp woodlands and Shaleback beetles nest in dry hills. Their habitats reward searching, with clues in your Hunting Journal. Faraway caves also shelter baby moss and ember dragons. The remote Rimewild Reach and Sunscar Expanse hold rare Frostcrown harts and Cinderback ancients for prepared adventurers. Defeat different creatures to fill your Creature Journal, from familiar wildlife to rare cave monsters.

Pixlaria is in active development. Play on a computer with a mouse and keyboard; expect changes as we build the world together.
The game opens right here in your browser. There is nothing to install.
Quick play keeps a guest on this browser. Choose Continue your guest when you return. In Settings, Save your guest keeps the same character on other computers. Or begin with New character.
Find the Guide by the well on the town square. Field notes suggest a first catch, a few logs to sell or a place to explore. They are optional ideas; choose what sounds fun.
Start with your class weapon equipped, 80 gold coins, bread, a net, a hammer and a tinderbox. Buy a basic axe for 16 coins, or fish with your net. Sell spare supplies at a shop using Sell all and save towards your first equipment upgrade.
Keep your character safe: save a recovery code in Settings, under Account & recovery. If you forget your password, choose Recover account on the sign-in screen and use that code. Guests first choose Save your guest.
Make yourself comfortable: Settings has graphics and sound controls. From Friends or a player's right-click menu, mute unwanted messages or report a problem.
Taking a break? After 5 minutes without deliberate input, you are logged out, even during automatic combat. A warning appears one minute beforehand, with a Keep playing button. Your position and progress are saved.
