New combat loot is briefly protected for its contributors. A gold star highlights rare or exceptional drops, and valuable finds are emphasised in the pile’s menu. Protection is temporary: collect before leaving.
After death, a recap names your attacker and shows the exact XP lost. Your levels, skills, equipped gear and bank contents stay safe. Dropped backpack items are private to you for 30 minutes and survive signing out or server updates. Choose Recover backpack for the remaining items, countdown, cave entrance and depth. Return to the gold marker at the actual place where you fell. The list updates as you collect items; the timer does not restart when you reconnect. Ground items are not permanent storage. Use the bank for valuables you do not need on an expedition.
