Quest 13 of 23 in the Journal · From Splitkeel wreck log · Splitkeel Shoal, Stillwater Yard, Ternhaven
How to start
Read the salvaged log beside the wreck on Splitkeel Shoal.
What you need
- Any boat. Combat 35 is recommended for the journey, but the story requires no fighting or skill level.
Step by step
- A wreck with a warranty. Sail south beyond Gullwatch Isle to Splitkeel Shoal. The wreck carries the mark of a shipyard missing from modern charts. Any boat works; Combat 35 is recommended for travel, but the three story sites require no fighting or skill level. Bring food.
- The direction of blame. Inspect the salvage rack east of the wreck. Match the yard plate to the surviving chart.
- Measure twice, float once. Find Stillwater Yard and inspect its plans table. The old launch cradle still straddles the slipway.
- Keel before wheel. Set the winch to support the hull before moving the cradle. Your recovered launch order begins with the keel.
- A controlled departure. Complete your launch test at the release lever. With the keel supported, lower the cradle before releasing the wheel.
- The secret is a harbour. Sail southwest to Ternhaven. Iona Keel lives beside the chart table. She offers one last navigation exercise before awarding the yard’s pennant.
- The narrow answer. Read Ternhaven’s tide board. The safe channel follows the paired tern marks; the broken-ring route ends at a reef.
- A place to return to. Return to Iona’s chart table. Collect your one-time reward and unlock the Ternhaven pennant, which appears on any boat you sail.
What you get
- A Ternhaven pennant appears on any boat you ride. Cosmetic only; it does not change speed or capacity.
- 3,000 GC
- +2,500 experience
- +4,500 Exploration experience
- +1,000 Carpentry experience
How it ends
You recovered the Second Opinion’s chart, safely tested Stillwater’s launch machinery and found Iona Keel in Ternhaven. Your reward included 3,000 coins, Exploration and Carpentry experience, and a teal tern pennant displayed on any boat you sail. The harbour’s sawbench, cooking range and fishing landing remain useful after the voyage.
