Quest 16 of 19 in the Journal · From Mara’s Missing Property notice · Foxglade
How to start
Read Mara’s notice, beside the sheltered green in Foxglade.
What you need
- Follow the clues around Foxglade without harming the foxes. No item hand-in is required.
Step by step
- A most suspicious sock. Read Mara’s notice beside Foxglade’s sheltered green. Missing laundry is a mystery, not a reason to harm the foxes.
- Four toes, no alibi. Follow the southwest path to the beginner woods. Compare the small prints by Mara’s wooden trail marker; choose the evidence that leads towards the missing washing.
- An inventory of unsuitable treasures. Inspect the hollow southwest of the beginner woods. Work out what the fox carried away, and what should remain undisturbed.
- A door with a dress code. Observe the family hollow east-southeast of the collection. A loose loop of discarded twine catches at its entrance. Untangle it gently, leaving the bedding and foxes alone.
- Case closed; sock occupied. Return to Mara’s notice beside the green and leave your findings. The fox family can keep its bedding; the village can peg its washing more securely.
What you get
- 350 GC
- +400 experience
- +500 Exploration experience
How it ends
The missing washing had become bedding for a fox family. You followed the prints, removed a loose loop of twine and left the hollow intact. Mara declared the case closed and paid 350 coins, Exploration XP and character experience. Your field sketch shows two foxes, a glove, and a sock labelled “occupied”. No committee was formed.
