Quest 5 of 9 in the Journal · From Billy the Builder
How to start
Talk to Billy the Builder, at the town end of the bridge over the southern lake.
Click Billy the Builder to talk (or right-click and choose Talk-to; on a phone, long-press), then choose “Where can I have land of my own?”. “New quest”, the game says: your Journal and your Field notes keep track of it from then on.
What you need
- A claim stake: 1 × Logs and 2 × Planks, Carpentry 1. Billy the Builder gives you both as you start.
- Open ground out past the heartland’s edge: Sunnyholm, east over the Long Bridge, or Muggfield, south over the Lark Bridge, are made for it.
Step by step
- Land of your own. Billy the Builder, at the town end of the bridge over the southern lake, south of the square, knows where land is to be had. Ask him about land of your own.
- Stake your claim. Out past the heartland's edge, open ground is anyone's to claim. The Settlers' Meadows are made for it: Muggfield, round the bank and south over the Lark Bridge, where Kristoffer sits by the fire on the green and could use a hand, and Sunnyholm, east along the road and over the Long Bridge. Right-click open ground there, choose Build here, and build a claim stake from a log and two planks.
What you get
- 12 × Planks
- +500 experience
- +300 Carpentry experience
On the way: 1 × Logs and 2 × Planks: all a claim stake takes, from Billy the Builder as you start.
How it ends
You put up a claim stake: land of your own, out past the heartland.
