How to get there: Sunnyholm: east, along the east road and over the Long Bridge. Muggfield: south, round the bank, south past the lake and over the Lark Bridge.
The heartland round town is everyone’s common ground, and nobody builds there. Out past its edge the land is anyone’s to settle, and the Settlers’ Meadows are the friendliest places to start: level grass ringed with trees for logs, a pond, and a green in the middle that belongs to everyone, with a signpost, a public sawbench, a bank chest, a campfire with benches and a notice board of tips. Signposted settlers’ roads lead there from the square, and nothing that bites lives along them.
Sunnyholm
Sunnyholm lies east: along the east road and over the Long Bridge. “Welcome to Sunnyholm! A meadow island in the sun, and room here for anyone who wants a home. Pick your spot, put up a stake and make yourself at home. The fire is always lit.”
Muggfield
Muggfield lies south: round the bank, south past the lake and over the Lark Bridge. “Welcome to Muggfield! The larks sing all day, the mountains keep the wind off and the meadow is yours to settle. Pull up a bench by the fire and pick your spot.”
On Muggfield’s green Kristoffer sits by the fire (Breakfast for Two). More about Muggfield · Claiming land and building a home · Stake Your Claim
