- Chopping uses your best axe carried in your bag or equipped. Melee requirements only apply to wielding it as a weapon. Tree Woodcutting requirements still apply. Faster strokes give more chances for logs; XP per log stays the same. The Smith sells all five axe tiers.
- Attack is weapon strength, not fixed damage. Your skill, character growth and the enemy’s defences affect each hit.
How to get it
- Smithy: 200 GC each.
- At an anvil, Smithing 31: 1 × Steel bar → 1 × Steel axe (base yield, before skill bonuses).
Sell: 100 GC at the Smithy or Kitchen; 80 GC at the General store. Buying and selling prices differ.
