Exploration is the former Walking skill. Everyone keeps their XP, levels and movement-speed benefits. Collision-checked movement earns 2 base XP per 4 tiles (1.4 after the world’s 0.7 rate, with fractions retained). Boats and horses now contribute, capped at the same character’s unboosted out-of-combat foot training rate. Flights, teleports, standing still and forced movement do not earn travel XP.
Mira and the guild board stand beside Pioneeria’s Dragon Field. Accept one survey at a time, follow its clues in your Journal and Field notes, and stand on dry ground near the actual landmark for three seconds, away from combat. Return to Mira to file your observations. Old discoveries count when revisited on an assignment: your map is not reset or automatically revealed.
Six surveys reward a total of 2,310 Exploration XP and 52 non-tradeable Exploration Points, once per character. No coins or items are paid. Points record guild standing: Trail scout at 5, Wayfinder at 15, Cartographer at 35. They are not spendable in this first version. Put a survey aside at the board without penalty; accepting it again requires a fresh visit. There is no time limit.
Easy, Normal, Hard, Elite and Master refer to distance from Pioneeria’s Dragon Field, using the 250 / 500 / 750 / 1,000 GC distance rings. They are not combat ratings. Read the route warning before accepting; none of these destinations is in PvP.
