Read the expedition journal at Last Supper Camp.
What you need
Step by step
- Back before supper. An expedition went missing west of Dawnlinden. Follow the valley trail to Last Supper Camp. Combat 40 is recommended for the journey; the main investigation requires no fights, materials or skill levels. Bring food and use Torch in the cavern.
- A bridge too confident. The bridge has collapsed. Read the maintenance board before choosing a way around the ravine.
- A village that chose silence. Search Hushbrook’s records house. Its inhabitants left willingly; discover why the map pretends it never existed.
- A room with no supper. Inspect the surveyor’s lodging for the expedition’s route into Glasswater Cavern.
- The lake tells it straight. Follow Glasswater’s western boardwalk to the reflection plate. Read the mirrored inscription using the lake.
- Present, if poorly fed. Find the expedition alive inside the Buried Observatory. Help Mara restore the instrument without publishing the refuge’s coordinates.
- Three things in their places. Calibrate the observatory using the village rhyme and the cavern’s reflected inscription. This is your own instrument test; other visitors cannot reset it.
- Supper, at last. Collect Mara’s reward. Keep one bag slot free for the Pocket observatory. It is a placeable working decoration, not an unexplained quest item.

How it ends
You found Mara and Orrin alive, discovered why Hushbrook was left off the maps, and restored its observatory without revealing the refuge. Your total reward was 4,000 coins, 7,000 Exploration XP, 1,200 Carpentry XP, character experience and a working Pocket observatory. Place it at home through Build > Decorations; dismantling returns it. The marked service passage now takes you between the camp and observatory. The optional lost satchel remains available in Glasswater Cavern.
