Quest 15 of 27 in the Journal · From Tilda’s route ledger in Moonveil Wood · The Lanternkeeper’s Cottage, The Listening Grove, Mirrorwater Pond, The Rootbound Library

How to start

Read Tilda’s route ledger.

What you need

Step by step

  1. A forest with strong opinions. Find Tilda Wick’s cottage in Moonveil Wood on the mainland. Combat 45 recommended for the journey; the main story requires no combat, materials or waiting for night.
  2. Listen before you turn. Work out what the first waystone was meant to remember.
  3. The honest reflection. Read the pond’s clue; do not walk into the water.
  4. Overdue by a century. Find out why the waystones stopped guiding travellers.
  5. A way through, not a way in. Complete the grove’s restored route using what you learned.
  6. Put the path back on the page. Record the repaired network so it can be maintained.
  7. Home is a useful destination. Collect Tilda’s thanks and unlock the paired waystones.

What you get

  • Moonveil lantern
  • 6,000 GC
  • +2,200 experience
  • +7,500 Exploration experience
  • +1,800 Carpentry experience
How it ends

Moonveil’s waystones guide travellers again. You earned 6,000 coins, 7,500 Exploration XP, 1,800 Carpentry XP, character experience and a Moonveil lantern. Place the lantern through Build > Decorations; dismantling returns it. The paired waystones now link the cottage and library for you. The Hollow Crown is an optional fight, not a requirement.
