How to start

Ask Well-Keeper Amun, at the well in Daterest on the far western headland, about the boats.

Click Well-Keeper Amun to talk (or right-click and choose Talk-to; on a phone, long-press), then choose “Do the boats need anything?”. “New quest”, the game says: your Journal and your Field notes keep track of it from then on.

What you need

• 10 × Dates, picked from the date palms of Daterest’s grove (Foraging 37).
• The way to Daterest, far to the west of town on a headland of the western sea: a long walk along the coast, or a boat.

Step by step

1. Empty jars. Well-Keeper Amun keeps the well at Daterest, at the tip of a green headland on the far western sea, where boats put in for water and dates. Ask him about Daterest.
2. Dates for the long road. Amun fills a jar of dates for every boat that goes on west, and the jars are empty. Pick ten dates from the palms of Daterest’s grove (Foraging 37) and bring them to him at the well.
