Each upper floor holds twelve ink-blue Duskwidows in four nests of three. A marked shaft at the northern end descends to ten larger, violet Gloomwidows in four nests of two or three. Several spiders can attack together: choose your pulls and bring food and a light.
Central lamps lead to clear southern landings. Upstairs, the southern ladder returns to the surface. Downstairs, the ladder on the west side of the landing returns to the upper floor. You must finish or escape a fight before changing floors.
The spiders stay within their nesting territory; the lit central passage offers a retreat, but you cannot attack them from outside their territory. Duskwidows respawn after 90 seconds and Gloomwidows after two minutes. They drop silk, coins and an occasional silver helmet, with no boss hoard.
