How to get there: Wherever the deep desert lies beyond the home island: the nearest are far to the west, past Kingsrest. Ordinary caves do not open in the desert: tombs do.
The board by every doorway says who lives below: “A tomb. Scarabs (Combat 32) swarm the gallery, a mummy (Combat 46) sleeps in each burial chamber, and a giant scorpion (Combat 58) nests in the south hall.”
Inside
- The steps down end in a quiet antechamber, lit by two braziers: the way back up.
- A long gallery runs south, where scarabs (level 32) swarm.
- Off it, a burial chamber to either side, four stone coffins in each and a mummy (level 46) among them.
- At the far end, the south hall, where a giant scorpion (level 58) nests among the burial jars.
One tomb in four is a royal tomb, where the Pharaoh keeps the south hall instead. Mind the way back: the steps are at the north end.
