Obsidian silk framed in sun-gold, with an amber heart and scorpion-carved fittings. Requires Combat 95. Adds 11 armour and 5 percentage points to your damage-spell bonus. Each piece works independently. Ashkar, the Sunscourge, alone drops it: a final 1 in 1,000 chance per kill for this piece. His rare rewards share one roll, never one per player. Never sold or crafted; tradeable.

At a glance
Spell damage: 5%
Armour: 11
Bag: one item per slot
Worn as: boots. Requires Combat 95.
Boosts damage spells only. Healing, mana cost and cooldowns stay unchanged. Ordinary attacks do not receive this spell bonus.
Armour and shields work together against physical attacks, with diminishing returns, using the same rules against creatures and players. Better armour reduces damage, but heavy blows can still hurt. Armour is a protection rating, not a fixed amount subtracted from every hit. Spells use their own protection rules.
Rare: never sold and never made. Found only on the hardest creatures.
